The scent of kettle corn filled the air this weekend at the Pinellas Park Plaza Craft Festival in The Villages, FL. Saturday, January 30th, vendors displayed and demonstrated everything you could want and would hope to find when looking for that unique, one of a kind gift.
Eclectic minds of artists and shoppers alike filled the grounds. “I think it is a lot of fun with a lot of variety” says Donna McCarty from The Village of Amelia. “they have such beautiful flowers and jewelry and I already bought a pocketbook” she adds.
Did you need a bouquet? This was the place to piece it together or have one put together for you. The colors were vibrant and breathtaking boasting lovely shades of pink, yellow, blue, orange, purple and so much more. The flowers were expertly grown and tended to, so that you would have nothing short of amazing.
The flowers were not the only thing in bloom, when it comes to custom handmade items and designs, the talent truly competed to outshine the sun. Stained Glass, Hand Painted Canvas Art, Hand sewn dolls, there were even Jake 2 Jake’s Custom Knives made with the handles from an original Model T Ford tool kit! “To us, the firefly glass really stood out and the funnel cakes were excellent” said friends Jane (Village of Bonita) and Jeanine (Village of Charlotte). Creative Trivets Cutting Boards, beautiful Flowers from Silks in The Villages, stunning Pictures from The Living Sea, custom bears from U Name it Bears, the ever famous Kudu Klip, and KL & B’s neat Solar Lights were just a few of the items you would find while strolling.
